We are working in a wonderful science kit designed for students with special needs. The following are completed in each unit:
Homework:
Homework is typically sent home on a weekly basis. I will list 3 assignments (usually a reading/writing assignment, math, and science/social studies assignment), and attach any materials or worksheets to be completed. Homework can be worked on at your and your student's pace, and must be turned in by Friday. Allow students to work on as much of the work as independently as possible, but you may assist as much as necessary. Feel free to document what was completed Independently (can be marked with "I"), or if you used a verbal prompt ("VP"), or needed to physically assist ("PP").
Students are also expected to read nightly. You may read books that we send home, or any books that you have at home. Please record the book and sign in the student's reading log, and PLEASE return books!!!
